Older campers mentor the young ones in a Counselor In Training program. All are under the watchful eye of Fox Heath’s qualified instructors and counselors.  There is 1 counselor for approximately 6 campers.

DAILY CURRICULUM
 Campers learn the correct way to handle and interact with horses.  With Daily Mounted Instruction, campers become confident in the ring and on the trail. The Thursday Horse Shows help to build self-esteem.  Horse related Arts and Crafts stimulate creativity.  Project Booklets reinforce what’s being taught.  Swimming, horseless horse shows, and games provide Recreational Activities.

A PROGRESSIVE CAMP PROGRAM
Campers are divided into groups based on their age and experience. Campers move up in riding groups as they improve and gain confidence.  Topics of discussion are also geared towards each group’s level of experience.  For example, beginners would learn about grooming and tacking up, while the C.I.T.s might be taught how to bandage a horse’s leg or how to braid a mane.  Each session offers different demonstrations and topics of interest,  so repeat campers always have something to look forward to.

CAMP SEASON
Camp begins the third week in June and runs for 4 consecutive 2 week sessions ending in the middle of August.  The camp day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Extended hours are available at no additional charge.

We are currently taking applications for this year's program.  Please download and complete this Application Form.  Send your completed form and a deposit check to Fox Heath, PO Box 48, Furlong, Pa. 18925.  Please note that there is a $50. discount for applications received before June 1st.
